June 17, 2008-

CAPS TRAINING

Bacon Construction will be attending classes through the Home Builders Association of Massachusetts (HBAM), which will lead to a CAPS designation (Certified Aging-in Place Specialist). What is Aging in Place? In plain English, aging-in-place means remaining in one's home safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age, income, or ability level. It means the pleasure of living in a familiar environment throughout one's maturing years, and the abiility to enjoy the familiar daily rituals and the special events that enrich all our lives. It means the reassurance of being able to call a house a "home" for a lifetime. Bacon Construction will announce when all three classes have been complete and the certification has been issued.

Residential Design & Construction Convention

Bacon Construction and K. Magee Design Associates attend Bostons' 2008 Residential Design and Construction convention/trade show. This two day event included a number of workshops and panel discussions to learn the latest in building materials, Green design, home renovation and new home construction!

Bacon Construction Goes Green!

Bacon Construction has made an effort to "go green" and will be showing up to our next scheduled appointment in a Toyota Prius. Not good for picking up lumber, but at 60MPG it's great on gas!
